1) Locate domains

This is a search in which you specify the domains you want to manage. You must specify these domains before you can make any changes to them. The search includes several optional criteria, which means that you decide what information the search shall be based on.

2) Matching domains

This list of domains is the search result of the “Locate Domains” search. Verify that the domains in the list are those that you want to manage.

3) What would you like to manage?

An overview of the tasks that you can perform. The overview has three categories; Net Services, Email Forwards and MX-records. Each category has two guides that explain how to manage located domains.

4) Add/change Email Forwards

 

In this step, you can:

  • Define new email forwards on your located domains
  • Change existing email forwards on your located domains
  • Configure multiple destinations for each email forward
  • Configure multiple aliases to forward to one or more destinations

This step is composed of three sub-steps:

 


a. Enter email alias/name
b. Type destination email address
c. Check domain(s) to apply settings to

a) Enter email alias/name


* Email alias/name

Type the name of the email address from which you want to forward mail.  

Tip: The email alias/name is what comes before “@” in the email address. E.g. “info” in the address: info@example.com


* Advanced setting – more aliases

Forward mail from several email addresses. Choose the number of email addresses in the dropdown list and click “Ok”. Enter the names of the email addresses from which you want to forward mail. 

Example:

Your task is to make sure that mails sent to

info@example.com
support@example.com
and sales@example.com

 

is forwarded to

example@hotmail.com

To do this, choose “2” in the “more aliases” drop down box. Then put in info, support and sales in each of the input fields that you now have on your screen. The destination email address should then be example@hotmail.com - see next step for further explanation.

b) Type destination email address
The mailbox from which you want to check your mail.

* Destination

Enter the email address that you want mail forwarded to, e.g. you@example.com


* Advanced setting – more destinations

Use commas (,) or semi-colons (;) to define more than one destination for this (or these) email aliases 

Example:

Your task is to create a mini-mailing list with three recipients. In other words, all three members should receive emails sent to all@example.com.

personThree@yahoomail.com

To do this, choose "2" in the "more aliases" drop down box. Then put in the email addresses to get a copy of any email sent to all@example.com

c) Check domain(s) to apply settings to

Tick off the domains that you want the email forwards to apply to.

This step contains:



* List of Email forwards
This list gives you an overview of the existing email aliases.

* Email alias
The name of that email alias. (the part of the email address before the at-sign)

* Domain
The domain name is the part of the email address that is on the right side of the at-sign (alias@domainname)

* Destination

The destination email address to which all mails sent to the respective email addresses are forwarded.

In this list, you can...

* Check all

Click “Check all” if you want the email forwards to apply to all the domains in the list.


* Sort list

Click on "Email alias", "Domain name" and/or "Destination" to sort the list alphabetically; from a-z or z-a.


* Expand/Collapse button

Click “+” (expand) to view the details of a domain.

Click “-”  (collapse) to hide details of a domain.


* Continue
Click to continue to step 5.

5) Save Email Forwards

Verify the list of the new email forwards. If you want to make changes to it, simply go back to the         previous page.


In this step, you may:

  • Review the list of the alias creations and changes that you are about to execute
  • Save and deploy the new settings

* List of email forwards
This list gives you an overview of the existing email aliases.

* Email alias
The name of that email alias. (the part of the email address before the at-sign: alias@domainname)

* Domain name
The domain name is the part of the email address that is on the right side of the at-sign (alias@domainname)

* Destination
The destination email address to which all mails sent to the respective email addresses are forwarded.

* Sort list

Click on "Email alias", "Domain name" and/or "Destination" to sort the list alphabetically; from a-z or z-a.


6) Success!

This is a confirmation of your newly created email forwards.

 

In this step you may:

  • Where next?
    Click “Go” if you want to carry more changes with the listed domains.
  • Home
    Click Home to return to your welcome page.
  • Locate other domains to manage
    Click this link if you want to view make changes to other domains.

Use this link to print the list of the new Net Service settings, ready to archive or to use in reports.

* List of email forwards
This list gives you an overview of the existing email aliases.

* Email alias
